Added Stress
On Thursday, my adviser from Truman is coming.
After his visit, my life gets a little easier or it becomes a living hell.
Let me back up a little. This is my masters degree adviser to finish my Masters of Arts in Education degree. In Early March he expressed to me that he felt that I was an incompetent teacher and didn't know if I would pass my internship. He also hinted that he would not be able to write me a positive letter of recommendation. As a result, I've not communicated with him on what schools I'm applying for a job for. Usually the master's adviser plays a key role as a reference and advocate for job placement. Going at the job hunt alone may raise some questions, but I feel it is better to go at the job hunt alone than risk him sabotaging me.
Anyway, If I don't pass the internship, the Masters Degree and long term teacher certification falls apart. I either have to go to another school (probably Webster) to finish my degree, or say goodbye to the thousands of dollars I spent at Truman and embark on a new career.
We have block scheduling at **HS, and I thought he was coming on a green day. I look at the calendar and he is coming on a Black day. I've be working with both classes to improve items on the checklist that I need to complete before he comes. But I've been super focusing on my green days. (The students are more malleable that day too. )
Now he's going to see my worst students and where I haven't focused as much on classroom management.
Oh god.
Oh God.
SHIT
