Go Rico!
I watched the CARDS win their first game! Wednesday a friend came across free tickets, and I dropped everything and had the time of my life! Went to the game and the excitement was electric. thousands of people super excited to be there, all having a great time, and all wearing Cardinal red. The stadium was enormous huge and beautiful, so much history and tradition. I went with people who slept, eat and breath Cardinals baseball, and so through the entire game was a stream of anticdotes, story, history and trivia coming at me. I loved the barkers: people selling beer, hot chocolate, cotton candy and of course: peanuts n' popcorn.
Every demographic of STL was present-even little elementary schoolers sang take me out to the ball game during a time out. It was cool, and reminded me of the "snap" of football weather
Best of all: I got to see my assistant principal on the "kiss cam"!
(Rico Washington has worked his way through the minors for 11 years until this season. I got to see his first hit in major league baseball. HOME RUN!!)
